Lansing Community College International Student Insurance
Beginning the fall of 2012, health insurance coverage is mandatory for all international students, scholars, and their respective dependents. Lansing Community College has contracted with J. Deutsch Associates, provider of ISP Plans, in order to meet this new requirement.
Students will still be free to choose alternative insurance so long as their plan's coverage meets or exceeds the minimum requirements listed at the bottom of this page. To use alternate insurance, students must complete the online waiver process before registering in LCC classes. Students wishing to apply for a waiver must have their current Insurance Identification Card and Certificate of Insurance ready for upload into the site. If your waiver has been denied, you will receive an e-mail from J. Deutsch Associates, provider of the Mandatory Program, with an explanation for the denial, and instructions on how to apply for coverage.

Students must enroll for the entire semester for which he/she is enrolled in classes. Students may also enroll for more than one semester at a time, or the entire year. The latest date of enrollment in the program is August 22, 2013. Students can choose to enroll sooner than August 22, 2013 for additional premium.
